Following an audit of the CCMIX  by the French Ministry of Culture in late 2006, the mission of the Centre Iannis Xenakis refocused on the safeguarding, development and dissemination of the intellectual heritage of the work of Iannis Xenakis.

Thanks to a synergy of skills amongst members of the CIX, several initiatives within the university calendar have emerged, such as the implementation of the examination and inventory of Center’s main archive, the organization of international conferences(“Xenakis’s Polytopes” on December 15, 2010 and “Xenakis and the Arts on  December 7 & 8, 2011, “Continuum” in Rouen on Nov. 2 & 4, 2015 with a second leg in Cyprus scheduled for June 2016), a monthly cycle of lectures and free concerts at the University of Rouen (beginning in January 2012 until today, see under "Activities"), or CIX's participation in international exhibitions and events, such as ZKM in Germany (March 2012 - January 2013), in Athens in 2014, in New York in 2015, etc..

Overseas, the CIX’s activities are pursued by the Xenakis Project of the Americas (XPA) under the auspices of the Barry S. Brook Center for Music and Literature at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY).http://brookcenter.gc.cuny.edu/projects/xenakis-project-of-the-americas/
